Give the Gift of Love This Christmas

This Christmas season, Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries is preparing for one of our most meaningful annual events: In the Name of the Father. This special celebration allows incarcerated fathers at Forsyth Correctional Center to share a joyful day with their children. It’s a day filled with smiles, laughter, and love that bridges the distance so many families feel during the holidays.

This year, 33 dads and 69 children are signed up to participate! During the event, families will:

🎁 Exchange gifts lovingly chosen by our community of supporters

📖 Hear the Nativity story and learn about Jesus

🎅 Meet Santa Claus and enjoy the magic of Christmas together

📸 Take family photos to capture the joy of the day

🍽️ Share lunch and extra quality time that strengthens family bonds

Each year, this event reminds us that no matter where someone is, the love between a parent and child can shine through. These moments of connection often become turning points for the fathers — motivating them to stay on the path of hope and transformation.

But we need your help to make it happen!

Give the Gift of Love

We’re collecting gifts for children of all ages — toys, games, books, and more. Every gift makes a difference and helps a child feel seen, loved, and remembered this Christmas. The men “shop” from the donated gifts for their individual children and volunteers help the men wrap the gifts.

🗓️ Gift Drop-Off Deadline: Friday, December 5

📦 Drop-Off Location: Forsyth Jail & Prison Ministries Chapel (Email brooke@fjpm.org for directions)

💻 Shop Online: You can also purchase directly from our Amazon Wish List, and gifts will be sent straight to us — click here to shop the list.

Thank you for helping make Christmas brighter for these dads and their children. Together, we can remind them that God’s love restores families, heals hearts, and brings hope — one gift at a time.
