2020 – Outreach opportunities with FJPM

September 27, 3pm – Drive-by Prayer Circle Around the Jail (downtown)

Preparation: Make large posters in big bold words to be seen by inmates. Use words like—God loves you! Praying for you, etc.

  • Arrive at 2:45pm & park on streets (Church, 2nd, Chestnut, & 3rd) surrounding the jail located at 301 N. Church Street
  • One of the chaplains will be the lead car. The chaplain will park the corner of 2nd & Church Streets. We will begin at 3:00pm and end by parking at 2nd & Church Streets.
  • Park on streets around the jail before 3pm. Please stay in your car and obey all road signs.
  • Turn your car flashers on.
  • FJPM staff will be stationed at each corner of the streets.

Prayer Points:

  • Scripture: The Lord’s Prayer – Matthew 6:9-13
  • Booklet on prayer & reflective questions will be given to all inmates. Pray Lord to bless those who read it.
  • Pray for families of inmates who cannot visit because of the virus
  • Pray for protection for inmates, families and staff
  • Pray for the victims of crime in the community
  • Pray for peace and love to reign in our community
  • Pray for guidance and wisdom for those in leadership
  • Pray for FJPM chaplains’ day to day ministry inside the jail & prison
